Yeah, looks to me you were having to change a tire, at least some kind of repair/maintenance. Given the evidence looks more dirt than oil, that you rented a bike from (hopefully) a reputable dealer & maintenance should gave been done, AND the pattern of dirt on the hands corresponds roughly to what one would expect from a tire change, I say “tire change/repair”!

Don’t believe you would have the tools to change a tire. Maybe plugging a flat tire. Just go ahead and tell us.
