Day 17A – Pictures from Ravenna and Rimini

We have great internet now, so here are pictures from our day trip to Ravenna and Rimini.  If we were impressed by the mosaics in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, we were blown away by the mosaics in Ravenna.  They are the smallest tesserae, small stone, glass, or other material and the designs are so elaborate.  Ravenna is not a stop on many people’s itineraries, but we wanted to cover Italy from sea to sea.  From Santa Margherita Ligure’s Ligurian Sea to Ravenna/Rimini on the Adriatic Sea. We just did a drive by in Rimini, but got a selfie from the bike.

Here are a few pictures.

  2. You guys are definitely getting the best of both worlds (indoors and outdoors). It’s a shame everyone can’t do what you’re doing at least once in their life. To be so filled with awe and amazement, even for a brief period, makes for a very expanded life. Congratulations.
