No museums, no churches, no tours today. Instead, we slept in, washed clothes, and shopped. While mama didn’t get a brand new bag, I found a wallet in which euros – both bills and coins – actually fit (although there are now fewer of them to carry around).
A friend of ours suggested that we put some pictures of US enjoying Italy on the blog. I guess he has a point. Everyone has seen pictures of Michaelangelo’s David statue, but have you seen Kevin and Stephanie with David? I think not. One word – AMAZING! Just the detritus left from the world’s first large-scale recyclers boggles the mind. It’s hard to imagine “downtown Rome” as it existed in the first century AD. Continue reading
