Nothing but blue skies for the ride today of some of the most beautiful mountain passes in Italy, the Sella region.

Kevin running sweep for the peloton 🙂
Earlier this week, we found that it was the First Annual Dolomite Bike Day which closes some of the mountain passes to cars and motorcycles so the bikes can have the roads to themselves. Thankfully, Kevin is the map maker extraordinaire and planned for us to ride the passes early and late when they were not closed.
We finally found a calzone that beats The Black Olive’s in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Wow, these folks sure know how to do Italian food right! 🙂
Over cocktails at the hotel, we made new friends from Parma. They just got back into motorcycle riding after some time off and are enjoying their BMW GS. They come to Arabba often, so after dinner, we took a walk around town and learned about how much had changed over the years.
Tomorrow, we start the trek back toward Milano to turn in the bike on Tuesday. We can’t wait until internet allows for us show you more pictures and video.
Buona notte!
Amazing scenery!
